I went in to get the lapband and walked out with a gastric sleeve. I did not need to loose a huge amount of weight but enough to get me started on a healthy and fullfilling life. I spoke with a doctor at the center who convinced me that I would be better off getting the gastric sleeve because there would be less complications down the road and I am glad I did.
